EU youth project – ”Different history – common future” Youth as a resource for a sustainable future in the Baltic Sea Region. Project period: 2007-2009 Partners: Kalmar, Tallinn, Liepaja, Kolding, UBC General Secretariat Aim: Strengthen youth as a resource Give youth an arena and possibility to become active citizens Give civil servants and youth workers tools to successfully encourage youth initiatives and creativity

Activities: Co-ordinate 2 youth conferences connected to UBC General assembly 2007 & 2009. “Book of Possibilities” ”A Book of Results” Develop EVS as a tool for co-operation in the Baltic Sea region. Develop a method for youth exchange on the theme of Tolerance. Develop new methods and systems for information directed to youth on a local level. EU youth project – ”Different history – common future” Youth as a resource for a sustainable future in the Baltic Sea Region Youth Engaged Establishing an arena for young people‘s engagement within NGO‘s & municipalities Youth Exchanged EVS & Intercultural Learning as tools for the development within the BSR Youth Communicating Common knowledge base, digital learning platform and real + virtual meeting places
