1 Sometimes accused of not being very spiritual  Say our worship is boring  Do not shout and clap What is being spiritual?

2 “Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.” Gal. 6:1 NKJV Marks of spirituality – Gal.6:1-10

3 I. A spiritual man will seek to Restore A Fallen Brother “Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.” Gal. 6:1 NKJV Repair, adjust, mend

4  Carefully and tenderly  Like setting a broken bone  Not over confident  1 Cor. 10:12 I. A spiritual man will seek to Restore A Fallen Brother Restore A Fallen Brother

5 II. A spiritual man will help others To Bear their Burdens “Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Gal.6:2 Burden = load, weight, trouble Lends A helping hand Prays to God for this person Prays to God for this person – Jas.5:16

6 III. One who is Spiritual will not have an inflated view of his importance “For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.” Gal. 6:3 Rom.12:3 Matt. 5:3

7 IV. The Spiritual person is honest in Evaluating his service to God “But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.” Gal. 6:4 Does not rest on achievements Phil. 3:13-14 – “reaching forward”

8 V. A man who is Spiritual Bears his own burden “For each one shall bear his own load.” Gal. 6:5 Burden = Load = Responsibilities  Does not blame others  Does not expect others to carry

9 VI. A Spiritual man will gladly Support those who are his teachers “Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.” Gal. 6:6 1 Cor. 9:14 – live of the gospel Immature resent support

10 VII. A Spiritual man understands the Principle of Sowing and Reaping “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.” Gal. 6:7-8 We reap what We sow

11 VIII. A Spiritual man never Wearies in his Christian Service “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Gal. 6:9 “always abounding in the work of the Lord” 1 Cor. 15:58

12 IX. A Spiritual man does good To all men “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” Gal. 6:10 Not a respecter of persons Jas. 1:27 “pure religion”

13 “may grow up in all things into Him who is the head, Christ” Eph.4:15 We must “grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” 2 Pet.3:18
