Compare and evaluate the appropriateness of the various content packaging standards in the context of digital repositories.

A centre of expertise in digital information management www.ukoln.ac.uk/repositories Format of Workshop Five Presentations: –Moving Picture Experts Group 21 - Digital Item Declaration Language (MPEG 21 - DIDL) –Metadata Encoding and Transmission Standard (METS) –Resource Aggregation Model for Learning, Education and Training (RAMLET) –IMS Content Packaging Standards XML Binding –Dublin Core and the Dublin Core Abstract Model –20 minutes, with 10 minutes of questions –List of questions to enable comparison (please ask during question sessions or during discussion) –Discussion in afternoon – focusing around suitability for different repositories –Evaluation sheet
