Start Check Talk to the instructor before you seat your patient if you have ANY doubt in what you are doing. Seat patient, review medical history, explain the procedure to patient, fill out all the paper work (Operative Evaluation Form) Place patient in operating position, confirm diagnosis and treatment plan. When you are ready, request starting check from instructor (turn red light on). ABSOLUTELY NO anesthetic should be given before starting check is granted.
