4 4 Multi-rater (360°) feedback Often used for developmental purposes; can be used for perf. appraisal May provide for better opportunity to observe, but many political issues Facilitated feedback sessions can improve process, outcomes (Seifert, Yukl & McDonald, 2003) What do you do when the feedback differs across sources?

6 6 Performance Evaluation Exercise Review and evaluate Clarkson ’ s course evaluation form as a method of evaluating instructor performance. – What does it measure? Are the criteria reasonable? – What rating scale is used? – To what extent will this provide instructors with useful feedback? Develop suggestions for improvement – How should this be used as part of the larger performance management process?
