Seed Parts: Definitions Seed Coat : the protective outer coat of a seed Cotyledon : the leaf part of the plant’s embryo Food Storage: the part of the seed that helps develops the seed’s embryo (Embryo : the tiny beginning of the leaf and root for when the plant grows )
