4. when you add a negative with a negative it will be a negative. (-10)+(-20)=-30 when you add a positive with a positive it will be a positive. (+580)+(+1296)=+1876 when you add a negative with a positive it can be a negative or a positive the answer will be the sign of the bigger number and you subtract the two numbers.(-8)+(+4)=-4 zero is never a negative or a positive. (+15)+(-15)=0
