2 Try out the use of folding bikes in combination with public transport. Attract more public transport users by increasing the catchment area to include cyclists. Develop mobility schemes for the logistics of the first and last kilometres. Allow residents with no way of securely parking a bicycle at their place of residence to have a space- saving bike. 3 Principles of the trial Provide an established target group with a free folding bike for a limited time. Have individual and collective follow-up appointments with the participants Draw conclusions on the possible expansion of the bike hire scheme. 7 Recap of the CycloTan study CycloTan + public transport co-mobility scheme tested in Nantes by 100 participants: A 6 month trial period from February 2012 to August 2012 Observations at the end of the study: 80.4% of the participants were satisfied (47.2 % were very satisfied) A high participation rate was maintained throughout the study: 87 active participants VELO-CITY 2015 - 2-5 JUNE 2015 - NANTES, FRANCE 7
