biped noun A creature with two feet – walk upright He saw a two-footed creature, a biped.

centipede Noun A creature with 100 feet The creature with 100 feet is called a centipede.

impediment Noun Something that stands in one’s way; an obstacle (limp or a speech impediment) The impediment was in my way and I could not get around it.

millipede noun A creature with 1,000 feet The millipede could walk very fast because it had 1,000 feet.

pedal Noun A lever that is moved by one’s foot The pedals on the bicycle had to be moved by your feet.

peddler noun A person who goes from door to door on foot trying to sell a product – (sometimes trying to earn money for a trip) The peddler was going door to door trying to sell candy.

pedestrian Noun A person who walks across the street on foot (drivers need to watch out for them) The pedestrian was walking across the street using the crosswalk.

pedicure noun A foot treatment that could include soaking the feet and polishing the toenails (go to a spa) I had a pedicure and my toenails were painted red.

quadruped noun A four-footed creature (rabbits, cats) A cat is a quadruped because it has four feet.

tripod Noun A three-footed stand often used to balance a camera I used the tripod when I was taking pictures.
