DEVELOPMENT AND SUSTAINING A VA PROGRAM Coaching Into Care, a new VA Call Center Helping you help a Veteran Coaching Into Care is a National VA Call Center that helps families help their Veteran get into mental health care

Staff are Bachelors-level, LCSW and Ph.D. Psychologists Provide information about VA mental health services Provide basic psycho-education –Mental health, substance use disorders –Reactions to trauma Provide referrals –VA and non-VA resources for Veteran and/or family member Provide Coaching –Talking with the family member about how to start conversations about engaging in care –Problem solving –Reducing coercive strategies, encouraging autonomous decisions WHAT COACHING INTO CARE DOES
