2.  The African Savannah is hot  The main plants in the savannah are trees, flowers, and many different types of grass  A cool type of tree that I like are tooth brush trees.  Tooth brush trees’ branches are broken off and used as tooth brushes

3. Grass Grass is precious not only for animals to eat but to hide too If grass is burnt from a fire it is good and bad because it is grown back better

6. T HE F OOD C HAIN The Lion is the top of the food chain! He eats zebras and gazelle The zebras and gazelle eat the grass which have bugs on them sometimes The grass needs the sun and water to grow

8. W HAT W OULD H APPEN IF THERE WAS A MISSING LINK ? If the lions all were extinct then the zebras and gazelles might over grow in numbers If they over grow then they will need more grass so then there might not be as much grass So if one thing in the chain dies then all the are effected. It is a chain reaction

9. A NIMAL A DAPTATIONS  Because of gazelles unique color they can hide in the grass  Elephants circle their young for safety  Baboon babies clutch on to their moms belly or back to be carried  All animals hearing has to be great so they can be protected from deadly animals like Africa's great black mamba snake the deadliest snake in the world according to research.

12. Endangered species! This animal was much more common Some species of elephants are rarely seen now a days Zebras and anteaters are both endangered and so are some species of birds

13. Predators ! Notice how the animals hunt animals the same size or bigger than themselves

14. EXTREME conditions The heat is a very extreme condition and so is the lack of water! A danger of the habitat for us is the animals there, the sharp claws and teeth, big feet, and protection there. W e couldn’t live there unless we were really protected
