Concierge The concierge is a hotel staff member who Helps guests make arrangements for transportation Makes restaurant and event reservations Advises guests about activities in the area Reports to the general manager. Interesting information Usually speaks more than one language and is familiar with the area

Educational/salary Hotel concierge must complete a certificate program for 2 years. Courses include: Hospitality marketing Resort development Beverage management Hotel operations management GED or High School diploma Salary for a concierge ranges from 20,268- 51,000 depending on experience

Night shift Clerk The night shift clerk works in the front office and reports to the general manager. The night shift clerk is responsible for: Selling rooms Maintaining accounts Providing guests services Checking people in Interesting Information: The front desk clerk must be quick,organized and friendly. They also must be familiar with technology to store guest information and be able to help guests with special request.

Educational/Salary Someone who works at the front desk must have: a bachelor's degree or associates in hotel or hospitality management, business or a related field. Experience in the field They can make $46,300 depending on their degree and experience

Summary Both Concierge and Night shift clerk are good jobs but you have to be customer friendly. Both jobs require working with people and answering their questions in a friendly manner.
