11. Moson-Danube Moson-Danube Traveling towards the outlet a significant degradation of conditions is experienced as a result of human activities. While the upper section ranges from good to tolerable, the middle section is tolerable and the lower section where the effluent from the wastewater treatment plant of Győr ranges from tolerable to significantly polluted.

The water quality readings for the Lipót lake show that the quality of the surface water from the supplement aimed at maintaining the dead arm was a determining factor in the water quality of the protected habitats as the natural conditions were supplanted. The conductivity declined and fluctuated over a narrow interval while nitrification and phosphor sources increased.
