1 ITD Tracking Errors 1.Incorrect Dates 2.Missing vehicle numbers 3.Crews copying and recording the last crews ITD number with out checking. 4.Swapping bags – ITD units are assigned to each vehicle

2 Problems Encountered Problems Encountered  1. Adaptor tube supplied with ITD may not be secure.  2. King Air way may become dislodged with extrications. Attempt reinsertion if possible. Use tube ties they are now in stock.  3.All documentation on the white envelope must be completed. Enroll the PT by phoning the enrollment line and speak directly with a operator.

3 ACR Documentation  Remember to obtain all information possible  Most commonly missed items are  1.Birth dates  2.Health card #  3.Pronouncment times. Please check prior to leaving Hospital to see if pt was pronounced  4. Hospital registration #

4 Approach to the VSA PT  Rehearse your roles/steps prior to walking in on the vsa PT  Turn defib on after acknowledgment of pulslessness and mark event to show CPR has been started.Research wants to see cpr started no later than 10 seconds after defib was turned on.  Place pads no later than 90 seconds from start of CPR  Remember to complete ITD protocols with putting wrist bracelets on and leaving blue documentation forms with Hospital charts

5 Well Done Muskoka  Muskoka is still leading the way with the ability to implement the ITD and capture required research data with very little errors and in record time The first research data that has been analyzed is showing very promising results The first research data that has been analyzed is showing very promising results 5% of enrolled pts are alive to discharge (Previous studies were 1% to 3%) Keep up the good work !!
