WHAT IS… the most complicated thing you have ever done? WHERE DID THE ROSARY COME FROM? One belief is that the Rosary was a gift from the Virgin Mary to St. Dominick. Historically the Rosary became popular between the 1100’s and 1400’s. It’s original Latin name was Rosarium, which means a “Garden of Roses”. It was considered the “Pauper’s Psalter” because they were cheaper, lighter, sturdier, and easier for illiterate poor Catholics to use. October is the month of the Rosary and begins with the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. INFORMATION: CONNECT:

A.Apostles Creed – I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. B.Glory Be – Glory be to the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. C.Oh my Jesus – O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of your Mercy. D.Hail Holy Queen - Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy! Our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve, to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley, of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us; and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb Jesus; O clement, O loving, O sweet virgin Mary. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. 10 Hail Mary’s Glory Be Oh My Jesus Our Father Mystery 1 Mystery 2 Mystery 3 Mystery 4 Mystery 5 Joyful Mysteries (M and Sa): A.The Annunciation B.The Visitation C.The Birth of Jesus D.The Presentation E.Finding Jesus in the Temple Luminous Mysteries (Th): A.Baptism of Jesus B.Wedding at Cana C.Proclaiming the Kingdom D.The Transfiguration E.Institution of the Eucharist Sorrowful Mysteries (T and F): A.Agony in the Garden B.Scourging at the Pillar C.Crowning with Thorns D.Carrying of the Cross E.The Crucifixion Glorious Mysteries (W and Su): A.The Resurrection B.The Ascension C.Descent of the Holy Spirit D.The Assumption E.The Coronation
