Created in 1999 via HB 1971 and since 2000 continuously funded through a contract with Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration with the mission of creating an integrated statewide LTC education and research consortium to improve care and quality of life for older adults in the setting of residential care

TNH GOALS Develop conferences, consortia, and collaborations to identify education and technology gaps in residential LTC and develop curriculums to fill those gaps. Improve efficiency and effectiveness of LTC through introduction and refinement of educational technology for training and clinical decision support. Enhance academic and public image of residential LTC.

LTC needs education strategies and technologies that efficiently provide effective competency-based instruction and clinical support!! TNH has created and introduced training and related education and support technologies that are effective, efficient, and satisfying. TNH is uniquely positioned to support, improve, and disseminate these technologies while continuing its statewide consortium efforts to initiate and promote collaborative training and research in best practices.
