NATURAL GAS FUEL FLEET VEHICLE REBATE PROGRAM  Provides rebates to help reduce the incremental cost of the purchase, lease, or conversion to a natural gas fueled fleet vehicle  Up to 50% of the incremental cost or $25,000 per vehicle  Up to $250,000 per applicant per year  Vehicles put into service on or after July 1, 2013 are eligible  All forms of natural gas fuel are eligible (CNG, Propane, LNG, etc.)  40% of the $6 million available per year are reserved for public sector applicants, with the remaining 60% for the private sector 4

NATURAL GAS FUEL FLEET VEHICLE REBATE PROGRAM  In Two Program Years  Over $9 million in rebates  790 new Natural Gas Vehicles  $19.2 million estimated fuel savings  Public Sector Use  Year 1 Public Sector:  89 vehicles  $900,000  Year 2 Public Sector  289 vehicles  $1.9 million 5 City of Clearwater CNG Fleet

6. Florida Renewable Fuel Tax Incentives  Florida Renewable Energy Technologies Sales Tax Refund  Provides a refund of previously paid Florida sales tax on materials used in the distribution of renewable fuels.  $1 million per year from FY12-13 through FY15-16  Florida Renewable Energy Technologies Investment Tax Credit  Provides an annual corporate tax credit equal to 75 percent of all capital costs, operation and maintenance costs, and research and development costs in connection with an investment renewable fuel in the state.  $10 million per year from FY12-13 through FY15-16 6

7. DRIVE ELECTRIC ORLANDO  Public-Private Partnership between the Office of Energy, Central Florida Clean Cities Coalition, and Electrification Coalition  Demonstrates the capabilities and benefits of Electric Vehicles (EV) by providing the opportunity to rent one for an extended test drive.  Leverages the Orlando tourist industry to help address the consumer acceptance market barrier 7

8. INITIATIVE FOR RESILIENCY IN ENERGY THROUGH VEHICLES (IREV)  Coordinated by the National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO)  Brings together emergency management, energy assurance, homeland security, and transportation to support the incorporation of alternative fuel vehicles in emergency response and preparedness operations.  The Office of Energy participates as an advisor and contributor to NASEO’s efforts 8

FARM TO FUEL  Research and development into innovative bio-fuel feedstocks  Funding awarded to seven projects around the state  Research on:  Viability of various energy crops in Florida’s climate  Potential economic value of energy crops to Florida farmers  Best practices to increase yield of energy crops 9 Farm to Fuel research by the University of Florida
