Analyzing Theories of Crime CRIME : Crime can be defined as a term that describes the unlawful and harmful acts towards an individual, group or the public and is punishable by law by imprisonment, fine or at some extremes, death. Violence, robbery, murder, assault and many others are some of the known crimes in the globe which exist everywhere. Crime is an act that differs or changes with respect to age, gender, ethnicity, race, and socio-economic factors among others, (Aquinas, 1988).
3
Type of crime MURDER: According to research and law, (Collins, 2013), murder can legally be defined as the unlawful and mysterious killing of a human being. It may be not out of plan but mostly there exists an intent to do the act and hence is punishable by law.

Reasons for murder People who find themselves tangled by the crime of murder mostly do it due to a number of reasons; Revenge Abnormality Spite Hatred Jealousy By Accident

statistics According to statistics given by the American FBI department, it shows how age, gender, ethnicity and race go hand in hand with crime. The intensity of crime varies with variation in gender (male or female), ethnicity, age, race among others. AGE Research shows that people at the middle age of 20 to 30 years, (FBI, 2011), are said to be the most acrimonious, robbery and assaults, domestic violence and such are mostly experienced at such an age. People at their middle ages are usually hyper-active and hence some misuse their energy to engaging in crime activities such as murder. Its an age filled with mixed feelings and anger management issues which make youths at this age flip and commit murder among other crime.
6
statistics Gender The most common types of gender known are the male and female genders. Masculinity among other features is something that differentiates this two genders. Hence the male gender been more masculine are mostly involved in crime more than the female gender hence their chances of committing murder crimes are much higher than the female gender. Social-economical characteristics Social-economic characteristics describe the relationship one has with people as well as their financial and well being. People who feel lonely and bad financially tend to participate in murder crimes due to revenge, theft to acquire money and property, spite, hate and such social factors.
7
statistics Ethnicity Ethnicity defines the origins of a person, where one comes from, their tribe, race, cultural and social backgrounds of a person affect his involvement in murder as a crime. Some people originate from races quit known for their fury and hence committing murder to them would be quit as easy due to anger

Demographic statistics According to the demographic statistic table by the FBI department, it shows how ethnicity, gender, and social-economical characteristics affect crime(murder). As seen, the white race and the male gender tops the murder crime list. The white race is well known for its ego and pride and partly anger which makes them vulnerable offenders and still vulnerable victims unlike the black race who are quit masculine hence can easily protect themselves from victimisation and as well are known for robbery not really. As well, it can be noticed that where the population is high, the number of murders are quit high too. This is probably due to the low economic status of the region to high population hence, crimes such as robbery with violence which lead to murder are quit rampant hence increasing the number of victims and offenders.

Theories of crime There exist many theories of crime among them the sociological and biological theories of crime. Sociological theory of crime The sociological theory of crime depicts that crime is caused by some factors which include experience that affect the personality, attitude and the kind of path one takes in their life. However, as per the given case, some people tend to face similar experiences in life but one choses to follow a better path than the other, (Akers, 1998). This theory contains several other theories that describe the causes of crime as a sociological cause; The strain theory The control theory Social learning theory Critical theory Social disorganization theory Conducive situation theory
11
Biological theory of crime The biological theory of crime depicts that crime is as a result of biological factors, this factors are somehow related to eugenics. According to research, (Engs, 2005), eugenics can be described scientifically as a set of believers and practices which are set aside with an aim to improve the genetic quality of the genetic quality and traits of human beings In the society. It is a scientific method that aims at changing human traits by promoting higher rates of sexual production of people with better and at least desirable traits. Hence it’s believed that this biological causes of crime are directly related to eugenics or somehow hereditary, from a bad genetic root and carried across the generation as explained by two scholars, Ellis and Walsh, who believe that despite the fact that behaviours are and can be learned, they are motivated by certain genetic traits. They argue that genetic traits and biological harms may be a great influence on one’s personal behavior and personality which includes association with criminality. Theories of crime

Analyzing theories of crime Analyzing the presented crime of murder based on the two theories of crime, the sociological and the biological theories of crime, it is quit had to give a clear analysis but according to the sociological theory, the white race, male gender are quit said to have a lapse in their social life, poor attitudes, anger issues and hence they are quit the vulnerable victims and offenders according to the statistics while on the other hand looking at the African American race using the biological theory, the roots of this race partly come from a calmer background, Africa, which hence reduces their numbers in the demographics chart. Hence therefore, its quit vivid that social status and biological status affect murder crimes as stated in the demographics.
13
hypothesis The human being is quit a wise race and hence the behavior and character of a person despite being influenced by their social status and biological backgrounds, they are the only ones who can chose the path to follow, whether to let their biological and social statuses dictate their lives or chose to follow a better path hence, the cause of crime is the choice of one self,#(the theory of choice).
14
Hypothesis validation Choice is a decision one is presented to making In their life that determines which path they follow, hence for every sane human, despite being affected by sociological and biological factors that lead them to act inappropriately, they have a choice to find intervention as well as knowledge to know what they are about to do is wrong. Hence choice is the chief reason behind every crime, as depicted in a scholarly about Natalie and her brother who were faced by similar conditions while growing up but later to take two completely different paths of life. On chose success while the other chose crime, it all about the choices we make
