INTRODUCTION Geometry, branch of Mathematics that deals with shapes and sizes.Geometry may be thought of as the science of space.Just as Arithmetic deals with experiences that involve counting, so geometry describes and relates that involve space.Basic geometry allows us to determine properties such as areas and perimeters of to dimensional shapes and the surface areas and volumes of three-dimensional shapes. Triangles are the part of Mathematics.Triangles are very useful to us.Here,we are starting a study about triangles.

AIMS To know about triangles To understand the usages of triangles To understand the theorems about triangles To study the angles of triangles To study the sides of triangles

METHOD OF STUDY We collected information from our previous test books We asked to others to know more about triangles We collected data from internet We depended our teachers

DATA COLLECTION Step-I First Glance A triangle is the simplest polygon, having three sides and three angles. The sum of the three angles of a triangle is equal to 180 degrees. Triangles are classified by sides and by angles.

Triangles Classify triangles By sides a b Isosceles 2 equal sides side a=side b Acute 3 acute angles By angles

Scalene no equal sides Obtuse 1 obtuse angle

a b c Equilateral 3 equal sides a=b=c. Right triangle

Analysis Triangles are classified in two general ways, by their sides and by their angles.First, we will classified by sides. By sides (1) P Q R (2) A Z Y Scalene Equilateral (3) Isosceles G F H

By angles C A B Right angle Q P R Obtuse Acute N O M

Conclusion Through this project, we got so many informationes about triangles. There are three angles in a triangle. The sum of three angles are 180 degree. We selected three triangles for study. They are isosceles, acute and right triangles. We could understand all the features of these triangles. This is a very useful project to us.
