Description of the Program Five core workshops Eight different tracts Each focuses on specific diversity and cultural elements Many currently exist at UCR already

Program Implementation Conduct Needs Assessment of supervisors Use results to prioritize course development Develop and implement the courses

Program Implementation Identify supervisors to participate in a pilot Certificate Program Evaluate effectiveness of Certificate Program Communicate results to other supervisors and to the campus

Potential Obstacles and Their Solutions Risks Certificate can be time consuming 6 to 18-month timeframe may be viewed as too lenient (and not taken seriously) Difficulties setting up internships
