AMY Meeting. 21 Mar 2011 Power Detector(ZX47-60-S+) Time response Signal Pulse Width from 10 nsec to 200 nsec 2 different frequencies (1.7 GHz and 2.6 GHz) INPUT Signal OUTPUT Signal ( PeakToPeak measure) The power detector seems fully efficient only for signals having a pulse > 100 nsec A similar temporal behaviour on rise/fall. Rise Time > then specifications

AMY Meeting. 21 Mar 2011 Using different couplings in input from the oscilloscope Power Detector(ZX47-60-S+) Time response Fall time for a signal level of XX% around the half amplitude: 80% from 10% to 90% 70% from 15% to 85% ….. 10% from 45% to 55% XX % TT TT TT

AMY Meeting. 21 Mar 2011 INPUT Signal Power Detector from Maxim Time response Signal Pulse Width from 10 nsec to 180 nsec 3 different frequencies (1 1.7 GHz and 1.9 GHz) OUTPUT Signal ( PeakToPeak measure) The power detector seems fully efficient for signals having a pulse > 40 nsec Very much dependent from input RF (see next slide) home made evaluation board

AMY Meeting. 21 Mar 2011 INPUT Signal Signal Pulse Width 100 nsec scan in frequencies: from 0.9 GHz to 3 GHz scan in signal amplitudes: from -90 dBm to -30 dBm Power Detector from Maxim

AMY Meeting. 21 Mar 2011 Small acquisition set-up eventually for acquiring directly the LNB (around 1 - 3 GHz). (using the LeCroy) Investigating other Power Detectors and/or different evaluation boards. 2 more from AD as the one we have in order to modify the board (not working) Power Detector from Maxim with larger dynamic range (home made evaluation board) (DONE) Trying to understand the time response – 2 more PD in the lab. FADC-> to be ordered More LNBF on different bands (C, Ku). From last meeting: Embedded CPU for VME working. Programming for TDC aquisition. Investigating the 2 Power Detectors now in the lab, mods in the board for the time response investigation. Switch on the LNBF Antenna for S Band (to be finalized) Linearity of PowerDetector Power Supply (for the AMY test Beam) More done/to do:
