Film - January 9 th, 2012 Anyone who has not turned in their syllabus can turn it in today for a late fee of 25%. We will turn in our introductory project. We will go to the computer lab to research the top movies of all time.

Drama January 9, 2012 Today we will continue watching The Sound of Music. We will take a quiz over part 1.

Art 1 – January 9, 2012 What you can expect… My introductory drawings are due. I will show what I have learned about using markers or ink. I will learn about looking at other people’s artwork and what is involved in a critique. Today I will begin learning the elements of art.

Atmospheric Perspective – Colors become lighter as they go into the distance

Color – reflected light – Groupings, High- intensity, low-intensity, color theory, color scheme (We will devote a unit to working with color later in the year.) Texture – implied (looks like it has tactile sensory) or actual (has tactile sensory) Value – lightness to darkness Form – 3D – implied form (perspective showing depth) and actual form ( a sculpture or other 3D object)

Sculpture – January 9, 2012 I will learn about constructing a sculpture by using materials to create a sculpture about me. I will turn in my syllabus for a grade.
