Healthy Lunch Ideas Instead of pizza or chicken nuggets, try a turkey or peanut butter sandwich on whole-grain bread Have veggies with every lunch. –Try carrot sticks, a small salad or cut up veggies with dip Don’t forget your milk! Low-fat/skim white or chocolate milk is a great addition to any lunch. Instead of chips or ice cream, have a piece of fruit. Apple slices, bananas, oranges and pears are tasty and easy to bring to school. Always choose milk or 100% juice. Avoid sodas and other sugary drinks.
