“Our Country” Listen to the song and follow along with the lyrics handout. Now listen again and chart the text with our symbols. While we discuss, fill our the chart to explain the song’s point of view and historical frame of reference.

On your own List 10 things you have in common with the others in your group. List 10 common events you have all lived through. List 10 things unique to you.

Point of View Collage Use the paragraph template to write a paragraph about your personal point of view and historical frame of reference. Choose five items that represent your personal point of view and draw them in the center of the frame. Choose five items or events that you have in common with the other members of your group and draw them on the outside of the box to be your historical frame of reference. Be Creative!!
