University Policy and SBS Assessment principles/ policy No 'flat mark' i.e. group assessment where all members get the same mark (University) Summative assessment to reflect individual student achievement (SBS assessment principle) No group assessment with a weighting of more than 20% at Level 6 except when collaborative working is a learning outcome (SBS policy)

Range of group work options Assessing group product: shared group mark/ average group mark/ individual mark- task allocation/ Individual mark- individual report/ Individual mark- examination/ combination of group average and individual mark.
