COFT SAFETY BRIEFING SAFETY: Tampering with equipment is prohibited and horseplay will not be tolerated CVC helmets must be worn in the Crew Station at all times No food, drinks, smoking or smokeless tobacco are allowed in the training area Use all required references during maintenance and training Do not walk on or move any cables, or touch any electrical connections

COFT SAFETY BRIEFING (Con’t) Know the location and function of the three emergency Shutdown Switches Know where the fire extinguishers are, how to use them, the location of the emergency exits and the Shelter Emergency Shutdown Switches Do not permit any activity in the COFT that is unsafe in the BFV

Risk Assessment Level: Moderate, due to potential for exposed high voltage cables Environmental Considerations: None Evaluation: Conduct maintenance operations IAW the evaluation sheet achieving a minimum passing score of a “GO”

Caution Statement The COFT system operates on High Voltage. Care must be taken when operating on or near the system Prior to conducting maintenance on the COFT, turn power off, remove rings, and watches. Watch out for cables on the ground. Avoid introducing moisture.

Maintain the Printer 1) Make sure the printer is turned off 2)Open the printer cover 3)Remove the toner cartridge 4)Pull out the old photoconductor unit 5)Unpack the new photoconductor unit 6)Right slot is marked with a triangle 7)Line up the triangles and lower unit into slot 8)Unpack toner cartridge 9)Shake cartridge from side to side 10)Find toner cartridge slots on each side of the inside of the printer 11)Lower toner into slots 12)Replace cover 13)Turn power on
