1 Koala Bears By Olivia Dailey

2 Basic Facts Koala bears are mammals. Koala bears live for 17 years.
Koala bears are 2 feet tall. Koala bears have soft wool-like fur that is gray above and white below. Their fur is mostly white on the underside below the neck.

3 Habitat stretches across Australia.
Today they can be found only in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia. Habitat

4 diet Koalas like eucalyptus leaves and bark from 12 different eucalyptus tree species. They also eat mistletoe and box leaves

5 Place in food chain Their predator is foxes, powerful owls, dingo, eagles and pythons And humans also hunt them Koalas are herbivores ( plant eaters) They are at the bottom of the food chain.

6 WHY IS THIS ANIMAL ENDANGERED?
Once numbering 1,0000, koalas are suffering majorly in population during 1920s when they were hunted for their fur. Today, habitat destruction , traffic deaths and attacks by dogs are the main cause of death. WHAT CAN WE DO TO HELP DON’T KILL KOALAS , PLEASE DON’T, THEY HAVE FEELINGS TO.

Eucalyptus: woody plant that can be found in small bushes or large trees. Endangered species: a animal or plant that is almost gone. Marsupial: animals that carry their babies in a pouch. Pouch: a pocket of skin that female marsupials have. Paste: a soft smooth, substance koala grind leavens into paste so they can swallow.
