Basics and Principles of Scientific Research By Ass. Prof. Dr. Majid S. Naghmash Diglah University College Department of Computer Engineering Techniques 2015
2
Outline Title Abstract Introduction Experiments setup Comparison of results Conclusion References
3
1. The title of your research should contain the proposed contribution 2. Highlight the best part in proposed idea 3. The short title is preferred 4. Write the research title at the end of experiment setup
4
The abstract should contain three main parts: 1. objectives, 2. Methodology, 3. Results Abstract should be short but give the overall idea: What was done What was found And what are the main conclusion When selecting KEYWORDS(KWs) imagine you are searching for your article in some database
5
short history about your topic (introduce the topic and emphasize why is it important) Don’t copy and paste any paragraph (relate to current knowledge) Insert 4 to 5 references in the same area (What has been done ? And what's need to be done) Describe your work with block diagram (Introduce your work ….give the purpose and main objective )
6
. Simulation part (simulink, M-file ….) (Describe experimental setup ), (explain used techniques). Implementation part ( FPGA, Board,….). Results (compare with other researcher results)
7
Why you proposed this work ( answer RA Qs) The importance of your work Mention the percentage value of the proposed results Remember you are not the only researcher in this field but the project need more investigation and development
