2 How Do We Know What God Is Like? What He likes and doesn’t like What pleases Him and what doesn’t This Question brings us to JESUS God is not playing some cosmic game of hide-and-go-seek. He put on Flesh and Bone

www.FootstepsOfTheMaster.info 3 Fully God Fully Man Jesus’ words are God’s words (12:49) Jesus’ actions are God’s actions (14:10) Whoever knows Jesus know God (14:7) Whoever has seen Jesus has seen God (14:9) Whoever hears Jesus hears God (14:24) Whoever loves Jesus loves God (14:21) Whoever hates Jesus hates God (15:23) Jesus and God are one

www.FootstepsOfTheMaster.info 4 Dwelt John 1:14 In the Greek it means literally “to throw up a tent” Revelation 21:1-3 uses same Greek word –There will be a new heaven and a new earth and a dwelling of God among men –So in view of God’s eternal reign over all things, it says that heaven is a tent of the Lord among men

www.FootstepsOfTheMaster.info 5 Comparison Neighbor 1 builds monstrosity of a house Mote, 12 foot fence, barbed wire, guard dogs –The message is, “I don’t want to interact with you” Neighbor 2 “throws up a tent” When you mow, get the mail, wash the car….. There he is… all the time It seems if instead of building a mansion, you built a tent, there would be a lot of interaction between us

www.FootstepsOfTheMaster.info 6 He wants to be known You see, everything we could ever know about God is found in Jesus because Jesus is God It’s what separates us out from what other religions believe We don’t follow a prophet but God in the Flesh! Colossians 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God…….

His interaction with the woman at the well His interaction with the disciples He doesn’t prefer the spiritual elite but the anybodies His interaction with the Pharisees His heart for those genuinely seeking Him That the children loved Jesus
