Is IT a partner or a service provider? Is SharePoint a platform or an application? Both? We can’t pay for that, this is coming out of IT’s budget! We need to be customer driven! Ok, where are they?

How long it will take, and how much it will cost? We will let the business tell us how they want to use it! This project needs to be completed by X! Doesn’t search just come included in SharePoint?

LARGE projects have HIGH failure rates You can’t estimate what you don’t know! Nobody is prepared – give people a chance to learn Success is a magnet that attracts more success

We *only* need records management? Why can’t I just assign Taxonomy to someone in IT? We need ECM, but don’t talk to anyone outside of IT! We don’t want to discuss all that other stuff. We just need to build an Intranet. We don’t need training. Make the system simple to use!

The real history of success with SharePoint was Team Collaboration and lightweight Document Management Is SharePoint an Enterprise Platform anymore at all? Microsoft went to the cloud… and lost the *Enterprise* baggage…
