Just A Little About Me … I have been teaching for 9 years. –6 years in 3 rd grade I graduated from CMU with degrees in Elementary and Special Education (Cross Categorical) Received my Masters in 2008 from Lindenwood University. My husband Eric and I have been married for 4 years. Finley, our 4 year old Golden Retriever.

6. Class Mission Statement We, the students in Mrs. Stasen’s class will be respectful of others and work together to have fun learning. We will do our best to learn all we can, whatever it takes. We will be responsible students who study, complete all assignments, and pay attention in class. We know that we are responsible for our own learning. In 3rd grade, we will be capable students that show what we know. We will be curious learners by asking questions and wanting to learn more. As “Star Learners” we will be confident and believe in our selves.

7. General Information Graded papers will be sent home throughout the week Please go over them with your child G.P. = Group Paper –Done in class therefore no grade is given –This is the first year for letter grades Look for 3 rd grade newsletters in your child’s home folder every other week!

8. Birthdays We love to celebrate birthdays! –Treats Finger Treats No large cakes or cookie cakes please! Individually wrapped and store bought Snacks Please send in one healthy snack for your child to eat each day.

9. Absences – Contact the office if your child will be absent. If you would like work sent home please leave a message with the office. We need to know this early in the day so that we can gather all the needed assignments and materials. After School Activities- Please send in a note when your child will be attending activities after school.
