Fluency Oh, no! It is late! Where is Rick? Is Rick sick? No! Rick is fast asleep! Get up, Rick! It is late! When I read, I pay attention to capital letters so I know where a sentence begins. I also pay attention to commas and end marks. When I see a comma, I pause. When I see an exclamation point, I make my voice sound excited. When I see a question mark, I sound as if I am asking a question.
