Getting the most from your Community Membership As a member of YEUK you are now able to access our online community. YEUK believes that one of its biggest strengths is its members and the work we can do to share, collaborate and inform will help all of our members improve the services offered to young people. This short guide will explore with you the online community and show you how to get the best from your membership. We are in the process of adding a lot more content and using more information from our members, so please keep a close eye out for the developments.

Edit your profile straight away All of our Members are listed in our Youth Friendly Employer Database that we share with our Young Members. It is important that your information is accurate. You can update your profile at any time, changing the website links to include the most important pages such as your recruitment page. Remember that 16-24 year olds will be able to view this profile and can then contact you directly about opportunities, events or services.

Community Area In the Community Area you can access: Funding Notices Forum Case Studies Members News Events

Forum Please go online and introduce yourself and your organisation. You can use the forum to meet other Members, share your services and opportunities and discuss possible collaborations.

Best practice and case studies YEUK shares with our members best practice help and how to guides for a range of youth employment areas, many of these guides are developed around the principles of youth friendly employment. Organisation members can also share their own case studies and help the community learn from existing programmes, finding out what works an what is to be avoided. We hope the case studies will lend to greater collaboration and less re-inventing wheels How you can benefit Upload any case studies showcasing your work especially where you can share learning experiences that might help others Keep in touch with the latest case studies and use the network of members to explore how you might be able to collaborate

Forum This is the place where all of our members can get involved in debates, discussions and network. How you can benefit Start a conversation, ask for help Join in with existing conversations Network and build relationships with other members

Events We share any events and conference information that we feel will benefit our members, very often YEUK members can attend these events at a discounted rate so its always a good eye to keep an eye out for what's coming up. How you can benefit Upload any events that you are running that you would like to invite community members or our young members to Check out for events where your membership to YEUK will provide a discount attendance

Member News We will share with you latest news, articles and insights from the world of youth employment. Much of this content is from our Members, partners and government channels. How you can benefit There is always something going on in the youth employment space and we try at YEUK to make sure we keep all of that news and insight in one easy place for you to manage.

Governance In this area you will find news, updates and insights on: Youth Employment Legislation Government Consultations All-Party Parliamentary Group for Youth Employment How you can benefit You can get involved with our work with government and even respond directly to some of the government consultations.

Youth Friendly In this area you will find articles, guidance and advice on creating a Youth Friendly culture in your organisation. Our Members are all encouraged to follow the 5 principles of Youth Friendly behaviour: Youth Voice Creating Opportunity Recognising Talent Fair Employment Developing Young People You will also be able to download the Youth Friendly Badge to display in your organisation & enter our Annual Awards.

Only you can determine what you want from your membership and put the time into making that membership work for you. We are on hand to help all of our members use the YEUK Community, support our young members and benefit from our Youth Friendly expertise. You can host webinars, share case studies, share events and news and much more to raise your profile and build your YEUK Community Role.
