4. Who, What, Where, Why & How?  Ask these kind of questions about the story and the pictures  Example: What did the baker use to make the Gingerbread Man?  Example: How did the fox trick the Gingerbread Man?

5. Connections Connections  Help the children see how the story relates to something familiar  Example: Have any of you ever eaten gingerbread?  Example: Did anyone ever try to trick you?
