Priority 4: Sustainable urban development 4.1 Support community development integrated projects 4.2 Support of environment friendly transport infrastructure, related public utilities and public services 4.3 Rehabilitation of in situ brownfield [1] areas for development of new activities [1] [1] In situ brownfield areas contain abandoned industrial areas as well as underused/unused plots of land within cities [1]

Identification process of mature projects eligible under ROP Call for proposal under 2004-2006 PPD to collect infrastructure projects, August 2004 Projects identification during the correlation process among ROP and SOPs, July-Sept. 2005 Projects identification during the consultation process for ROP’ priorities and measures identification (bilateral consultation, consultative forum) and draft projects pipeline preparation, July– Oct.2005 RDA’s during consultation process with the regional/ local partners identified an important number of projects by ROP priorities (under different stages of development) On going consultation process in order to identify the projects on which are eligible under ROP, Oct. 2005 – June 2006 Call for proposal to collect projects for all ROP priorities, after finalization of draft ROP

Consistency with EU policies The Romanian ROP has been developed with respect of the following priorities of the Community Strategic Guidelines 2007-2013 : - Making Europe and its regions a more attractive place to invest and work - Improving knowledge and innovation for growth - More and better jobs - Territorial cohesion and co-operation
