10 Action Part 2: Develop an Inquiry Task 1.Select the Research & Inquiry Skill area you would like to work on: Exploring Investigating Processing Communicating Go to the corresponding corner 2. Once in groups, select a ‘critical friend’ with whom to work 3. Create a task using one of the texts provided based on the revised curriculum

11 Success Criteria for Inquiry Task Teaches and uses the chosen inquiry skill Meets at least one other revised curriculum expectation from one of the other strands Engages students in a meaningful way

12 Consolidation: Ideas Exchange Give One Get One Protocol 1.Write a one sentence summary of the task you created on your card 2.Find someone you haven’t spoken to yet – both people share their ideas 3.Write down the new idea on your card 4.Find someone new with whom to share and repeat the process

13 Exit Card Think about the questions you completed as you entered the room today… 1.Did your dot move? In what way? 2.Were your questions addressed? 3.Will you leave with what you need to implement the changes in the revised curriculum?
