IMT: Brief history IMT = Institute of Microtechnology set-up in July 1993 as a new institute of the Ministry of Education and Research. IMT becoming a national institute in 1996, merging with the former institute of electronic components –National Institute for R&D in Microtechnologies also has nanotechnologies in its field of activity A hub of national networks in micro and nanotechnologies (MNT), starting 2001 Core of the scientific and technological park for micro and nanotechnologies MINATECH- RO (2004)
