3. Constant function  An equation with a horizontal line that crosses the y-axis. Ex) y = 2.5

4. Direct variation function  An equation with different slope (direct variation function) Ex) y = 3x + 0

5. Identity function  A special equation that passes through all points with coordinates (a, a) for every number Ex) y = x

6. Greatest integer function  An equation that looks like steps. It includes an expression inside the greatest integer symbol. Ex) y = [x] and y = [x] +2 and [x + 2]

7. Absolute value function  An equation with linear function with absolute value Ex) y = |x| and y = |x – 2| + 3

8. Quadratic function  An equation of quadratic function ax 2 + bx + c Ex) y = x 2 and y = x 2 + 4x - 5
