12 Start by clicking on the “Technology- Enhanced” Assessments icon The Opening Screen

13 Make your choice of “Technology- Enhanced Assessments from the list Reviewing the “Instant Results”

14 You have 3 main options. “View It” – review the questions on the exam “Try It” – take the exam from the student’s POV “Launch It” – have your students take the exam online. Selecting a “Technology Enhanced” Assessment – 3 Options

15 Clicking on “View It” will allow you to view the assessment. Launching a “Technology Enhanced Assessment” - View It

16 Clicking on “Try It” will allow you to take the assessment from the students point-of- view. Launching a “Technology Enhanced Assessment” - Try It

17 Clicking on “Launch It” will launch your selected exam so your students can take the exam online. Launching a “Technology Enhanced Assessment” - Launch It

18 You will have the choice of sending a link for a specific exam or a link that lists of all of your available exams. Launching a “Technology Enhanced Assessment” - Launch It

19 What is the student experience when taking the “Technology-Enhanced” Assessments?

20 Clicking this link will take the student to the following screen… The student will choose the teacher and the exam from the drop down menus. Student Experience – Starting the Exam

21 Clicking this link will skip the first screen and take the students right to the sign-in… The student is asked to enter his or her name, and then the exam can begin! Student Experience – Starting the Exam

22 After the student signs into the exam of choice, the exam begins. They will be presented with an assortment of question- types (this one is a drag-drop) Student Experience – Taking the Exam

23 Navigation is easy! The student can access all of the questions by either clicking “next” or any of the “numbered questions” to ‘skip’ ahead. Student Experience – Navigating the Exam

24 The flag next to each question number, can be “clicked” to remind a student to come back to answer it later. When a question is not answered or is “flagged”, the question will be highlighted as the test is taken. Student Experience – “Bells and Whistles”

33 You can review the results and analysis of a completed exam from the same page where the exams are listed. Reviewing Results and Analysis

35 If you decide to click on this link… …you will be taken to a page where you can view full analysis of all of your launched exams (“All pencils down!”) The exam must be “closed” to run analysis (“All pencils down!”) Reviewing Results and Analysis

36 After the exam has been closed (graded), you will have several reporting options to review. Testing Analysis – Overview Report

37 What are the different reports that you can run through the analysis menu?

39 The “Overview” will give you general stats, including a standard breakdown. ***You’ll also receive “suggestions for improvement” when students were under 70% for a standard. Reports – Overview – “Suggestions For Improvement” 12

40 The report gives the entire class results for the assessment (i.e. “the gradebook), as well as a question-by- question breakdown. Testing Analysis – Full Analytics Report

41 This report provides a result graph of the broad standard (if you choose “all”) Testing Analysis – Standard/Indicator Graph

42 Or, you can select a standard to get a more detailed graph of the indicators within that standard. Testing Analysis – Standard/Indicator Graph

43 The Standard/Indicator Summary” will provide a table that shows results and sample size (i.e. how many times questions were answered that dealt with a specific standard). Testing Analysis – Standard/Indicator Summary

44 On the “Compare” screen, choose what you would like to compare. Additional filters can also be applied. Testing Analysis – Comparison Report

45 This report is comparing the total % correct between two different classes that took the same exam. Remember, this is just one example of the many “comparison” options that are available. Testing Analysis – Standard/Indicator Summary

46 The “Historical Data” screen will list the # of launched exams and the average score based on the filters you enter. Testing Analysis – Historical Data Report

47 The “Test Score Range” screen will list display the students test scores in a “bell-curve” graph. Testing Analysis – Test Score Range Report

48 The Student Response URLs provides a link to the question- by-question results of a specific student’s exam. Testing Analysis – Student Response URLs Report

49 If you decide to click on these links… …you will be taken to a page where you can view the exam results and even view the submitted answers. Testing Analysis – Student Response URLs Report This is great if you want to e-mail results to parents, or pull them up during a conference!

50 After the exam has been closed (graded), choose the “Student PDF Report” option to display the report. Make sure to click “Get Data” to view the “Student PDF Report”. Testing Analysis – Student PDF Report

51 The “Student PDF” Report will generate a separate page for each student showing the results Testing Analysis – Student PDF Report This is great to generate on parent conference day!

52 What if you want to take several assessments together, or use some questions and not others?

53 Click on the option to “Customize Exam” at the bottom of the page. Selecting a “Technology Enhanced” Assessment

54 You can select as many exams as you’d like that you want to combine or customize. Customizing a “Technology Enhanced” Assessment

55 The next page will allow you to view your combined exam, and delete unwanted questions. Customizing a “Technology Enhanced” Assessment
