Now, let’s examine the page data. We’ve already seen the page name and the directory where the page is saved.
2
Here is the name of the template that defines the layout of the page.
3
Notice how a thumbnail sketch of the template is displayed below.
4
Click on the thumbnail sketch to view a larger version of the template in a separate window. The colors indicate the kind of object that can be displayed in each area of the thumbnail sketch. For full details about template layout, consult the Database Interface documentation.
5
You can print a copy of the template sketch by pressing Ctrl + P. Now, close the template sketch window.
6
Now scroll down to the facility.
7
Some web pages describe a specific facility. In order to include the facility information on the web page, the facility name must be selected here.
8
Line Length determines the length of the vertical black line that appears on most web pages.
9
If the page is supposed to appear on the Individual Facilities list (sb_f_list), then check the Facility Home Page box here. Normally this is checked for the home page of each facility or rehabilitation hospital as well as selected other pages. Do not select this for pages that provide directions to a facility.
10
Meta tags are non-visible text that are used by search engines. Selected pages on the site have been assigned a meta tag description and meta tag keywords.
11
Each meta tag description has been assigned a short-hand “name”. To apply a meta tag description, double-click on the desired name at right.
12
The description will appear at left.
13
Double-click to select one or more keywords from the Keyword Selector at right. Selected keywords appear at left.
14
Now scroll down to the page text.
15
Here is the content that will appear in the Page Text area on the template. We can type straight text and add HTML tags as desired to format the text or add images.
16
For example, this will format the enclosed text as Arial.
17
In addition, there are several custom tags which allow you to place images and popups in the text area.
18
For example, the tag indicates that an image or popup will be placed in the text at this point and aligned right. In a few minutes we will see how to specify the image that goes in this InTextRt spot. For a complete list of custom tags, refer to the Database Interface documentation.
19
pulls the facility name specified above from the database.
