Were first developed in 1962 in Japan. They quickly became one of the most commonly grown apple varieties Japan began exporting Fuji apples to the U.S. in the 1980’s. Today they are grown in Japan, China, California, and Washington State.

Are a hybrid cross of Red Delicious and Virginia Ralls Janet apples They are named after Japan’s most sacred mountain, Mount Fuji

Contain vitamins A and C Trace amounts of Folate and Potassium Good source of soluble fiber These nutrients help prevent heart disease and promote healthy digestion
