Aim: How do hailstones form and cause damage? Do Now: PRECIPITATION: any form of water that falls to the earth’s surface. What kinds of precipitation do you know?

PRECIPITATION RAIN: condensed water SNOW: frozen precipitation that falls in hexagonal ice crystals SLEET: frozen or partially frozen raindrops/mixture of rain and snow /rain and hail HAIL: precipitation that falls in spherical or irregular pellets
