2 PRECIPITATION RAIN: condensed water SNOW: frozen precipitation that falls in hexagonal ice crystals SLEET: frozen or partially frozen raindrops/mixture of rain and snow /rain and hail HAIL: precipitation that falls in spherical or irregular pellets

3 VOCABULARY HAILSTONE: chunks of ice that fall during some thunderstorms CHUNK: fat piece RANGE: to vary within limits PELLET: little balls (of ice, rabbit food, metal) PARTICLE: very small piece
