Lesson 7--Slide 6 If one does not faithfully teach Christian doctrine, what does that reveal about him? (1 Tim 6:3 NKJV) If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, (1 Tim 6:4 NKJV) he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, (1 Tim 6:5 NKJV) useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself. What should be a Christian’s behavior toward a false teacher?

(2 Th 3:6 NKJV)... withdraw from every brother who walks disorderly and not according to the tradition which he received from us. (2 John 1:10-11 NKJV) If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds. (1 Tim 6:18 NKJV) Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, Who is rich enough to be required to share? ( 1 John 3:17 NKJV) But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of (Luke 3:11 NKJV) He answered and said to them, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.” What warning should be given those who are rich or seek riches?

(1 Tim 6:9 NKJV) But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. (1 Tim 6:10 NKJV) For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. He answered him and said, “It is as you say.” (Mat 26:63-64 NKJV) But Jesus kept silent. Lesson 7--Slide 17 How was Timothy to guard what had been entrusted to him? (1 Tim 6:20 NKJV) O Timothy! Lesson 7--Slide 18 From Chapter 6 When we submit to appropriate authorities we show our respect for God and the order He has established and maintain good favor in the eyes of men. Christians should avoid and not support false teachers. It is dangerous to be rich or to be one who seeks riches because material gain can be a distraction from spiritual things and a means for satisfying ungodly desires. We guard the gospel by rejecting all other teachings. What to Remember.
