A FAITHFUL MAN.. LISTED IN THE BIBLE By faith Joseph …Heb. 11:22 “ By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.

A Great Example We love to see examples of people Doing well and serving the Lord. Many in the Bible were devoted to serving God.

Let us pay particular attention to the fact that Joseph did not Blame God for his circumstances!

“Now these things happened unto them by way of example; and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages are come.” 1 Cor. 10:11 NKJV Joseph did not blame God!

One outstanding thing about Joseph…

~ Gen. 39:22 And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. ~ Gen. 39:2121 But the Lord was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison. ~ Acts 7:9 “And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him.” The Lord was with Joseph….

Joseph did not blame God… 1. He did not blame God for his brothers Selling him for 20 pcs. Of silver. Gen. 37:28 Why? He was an obedient person. He was a man of great faith, and believed God would work things out for His good. Rom. 8:28; Heb. 5:8,9; Jas. 1:22

He did not blame God for his being put in prison for something he did not do Potiphar’s wife falsely accused him. He would not yield to her desires… Gen. 39:9 ‘how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” He was a man of Purity. God wants us to be pure. Gal. 5:19-21; I Cor. 6:9-11

He did not blame the Butler for forgetting him…2 years His faith was strong …and even though He had to undergo some trials and Severe difficulties..…He trusted God. Do we? Heb. 13:5,6 ; Prov. 3:5-6

He Always Gave God the glory… When he interpreted Pharaoh’s dreams, Notice what he said: “It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.” Gen. 41:6 4 Times he gives God the credit for his Power to interpret this dream. Are we willing to give God the glory? Mtt. 5:16; I Pet. 2:21; I Pet. 4:11

He did not blame his brothers, and took care of them. After the death of Jacob, they thought that Joseph would get back at them. Gen. 50:15-21. He forgave them. He took care of them. Are we willing to forgive those who sin against us? I John 1:9; Matt. 18:22

Always remember: “The Lord was with Joseph, and Joseph was with the Lord!”

22 years before he saw his father again! (Years of Youth) He had to endure being sold He had to be treated as a criminal for a crime he did not commit He had to suffer 2 more years in prison because the Butler forgot him. He became next to Pharoah He got to see his father and brothers again.

He did not blame God! Have you ever blamed God for something in your life?

His great faith is a model for us to Follow His wonderful character is one for us to imitate

Jesus wants YOU! Do you want JESUS? Hear Him. Rom. 10:17 Believe in Christ. John 8:24 Repent. Luke 13:3; Acts 17:30,31 Confess. Matt. 10:32,33 Be baptized. Acts 22:16 Be faithful til death. Rev. 2:10 Erring Christians need to: Acts 8:22; Repent. Confess. & Pray. James 5:16
