Industrial Controls Engineering Department What is PXI ? 4 PCI eXtensions for Instrumentation (PXI) It combines the high-speed PCI bus with the modular mechanical packaging of CompactPCI Is a rugged PC-based platform that offers: high-performance Low cost deployment solution Dedicated to measurement, control & automation systems PXI is an open industry specification launched in 1997 by National Instruments => Any vendor is able to build PXI products
