Explain what is meant by pseudoscience (4 marks) 2. During a public demonstration of 'psychic powers', a psychologist witnessed what appeared to be the ability of one person to read the thoughts of another. Explain how the psychologist could use the Ganzfeld procedure to investigate this apparent ability.(6 marks) 3. Outline one methodological issue with the investigation of ESP (2 marks)

4. Half term work: Due first lesson back  Read pages in 2-7 the ‘research into exceptional experiences’ pack (Psychic Healing & OBE). Have a go at filling in the boxes, any you are not sure about leave out and we will discuss in class.  Revision of research methods and anomalistic so far.

5. Date set: Tuesday 24.2.15 Date due: Monday 2.3.15  Read ahead activity:  Read the explanations and evidence for near-death experiences and psychic mediumship in preparation for lessons next week.  Prepare for answering anomalistic questions on material from packs 1 and 2

6. Date set: Tuesday 3.3.15 Date due: Tuesday 10.3.15  Prepare to answer part d) on Jan12 Anomalistic exam question sheet.  Recap research methods from AS and what we have covered so far in A2 (e.g. features of science etc)

7. Date set: Tuesday 10.3.15 Date due: Tuesday 17.3.15  Using the mark scheme and my feedback, finish writing down how you can improve on anomalistic exam questions a-c onto the sheet given out in lesson.  Complete the measures of central tendency and dispersion table (given out in lesson)

8. Date set: Tuesday 17.3.15  Prepare for Unit 4 mock

9. Easter work  Recap A2 research methods, bring any questions or concerns to lesson after Easter.  Continue revision for other topic areas.
