3. Habitat Habitat The Burrowing owl likes to live in the prairies. Also the Borrowing owl likes to live in dry dirt. When the owl finds a good spot it will start to make a burrow but they prefer one that they find that is already made.

4. Food Food The burrowing owl eats lots of insects, mice, voles, ground squirrels and toads. It also eats dead animals. They also prey on birds, amphibians and reptiles.
