4 Admission procedure for Rheumatology Patients GP referral to Consultant Infusion booked by Consultant’s secretary Insurance pre-authorisation required for all patients if not self paying Phone call from Infusion nurse the week prior to planned infusion date. Reminder Text

5 Admission procedure ( cont’d) Admission directly to St Veronica’s Ward Admitted by Infusion nurse, IV cannula sited and bloods taken. Rapid laboratory turnaround available – approx 60 – 90 minutes. For Aclasta infusion – time in hospital approx 2 hours.
