8. Background Knowledge This will usually be obvious from the task e.g. PPP, the Elderly, Labour policies etc. some times it’s not so obvious and you have to try to ‘squeeze’ the KNOWLEDGE in somewhere this is where the original aims come in. In almost all DMEs you can refer to the original Aims of the NHS however, this is a last resort -not a first!
