WARM UP 1.Find an index card on your table 2.Fold an index card in half hot dog style (long ways) so it will stand up on its own 3.Write your name 4.Decorate with 3 – 5 things that represent you (hobby, interest, activity, etc) 5.Use markers and be creative 6.When you are finished, begin completing your student information sheet

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS Be on time and prepared for class Be respectful of yourself, others, and the classroom equipment Be attentive and actively participate No food or drink (bottle water okay); if you bring food, you will be asked to throw it away. A word about electronics: Cell phones and other electronics may not be used in my classroom unless I have given you permission. All school rules will be enforced! Read your student handbook

DO Be polite to me and to your classmates and other staff Sit in your assigned seat Get to work on the bell ringer when the bell rings Raise your hand to speak Use good manners (please, thank you, excuse me, etc) Get your sleep at home DON’T Put your purse or book bag on the desk; I will ask you to remove it Brush, pick, comb your hair or apply make up in class Charge your phone in class Line up at the door Use vulgar language Say derogatory remarks about anyone or any group of people

LATE ASSIGNMENTS All assignments will have a DUE date and are DUE on that day. Any assignment not turned in on the due date is subject to refusal or point deduction. Practice time management in the classroom and especially on projects!

MAKE UP WORK If you are absent, you are responsible for getting your missed work from the bin or communicating with me to determine what you missed. You will have 2 days upon your return to complete your work. This includes missed tests! If you are out for an extended period of time, I will work with you on an individual basis to get your work made up

TUTORING I will be available on specific days weekly These days may vary, but I will post them at the beginning of each week. If you are planning to stay, please let me know! This time will be used for extra help, make up work, detention, etc.
